Starting point

So here is my starting photo for my #AbtasticApril challenge

And today's Ab workout photo, day one saw me doing Glute Bridge raises 😊

Abtastic April

So this April I'll be starting my very own challenge, 30 days of ab workouts to tighten up my core and hopefully loose this baby belly.

Im calling it AbtasticApril and I'm going to try and find lots of different ab exercise to share with you daily.

I'll be doing this Ab exercises on top of my normal workouts.  Currently I'm working on my upper body hoping to develop my guns ;)  My dream is to have arms/upper body like Michelle Bridges the trainer from the biggest loser.

We have just been learning about the muscles in the upper body and its got my obsessed with having a fantastic upper body. Currently I'm on school holidays from Tafe, so I'm just doing a lot of studying and training so im prepare for when I got back to school in two weeks.  Can't wait to go back as it's been amazing so far, learning all this wonderful things about the human body.

I'll keep you update on my progress thought out the challenge. I'll be posting a starting shot tomorrow.  Fingers crossed I can get my eating habits under control and finally kick the nasty habits of drinking coke combined with this ab challenge and I'll have my belly starting to look flatter in no time.

Till then be happy, be active, be you

Weekend time again

With my working week now over, its time for my weekend to finally start even though its already Saturday evening.  I now have two days to hang with the little men, and unfortunately the hubby now has to work on my two days off.  But this is the way it goes when you want either parent to be at home with the children as must as possible.

So tomorrow will be Sunday, yeah Market time!  I love Sunday morning markets, nothing better then going and getting yummy fresh fruit and vegetables for the week ahead. And maybe a yummy treat if the boys behave themselves while mummy shops.  My boys just love the markets and enjoy helping me pick out their favourite fruit.  mmm Watermelon, pineapples, banana's are just some of their weekly picks.

Sunday's we usually will visit my parents, my boys just love getting to hang with their nanna and poppa once a week and wish they could see them more.  My parents live on a acre and there is lots of room for play, esp in the sandpit poppa built them, and if there lucky pop will let them have the garden hose too.

Once we come home from their house they boys are very worn out and will have a nap after lunch, so I get to play cleaning lady and do the laundry while having some me time and watch a movie or catch up on some reading.  Gotta fit the cleaning in some where.

In the afternoon, im going to take the boys for a walk to get in some exercise to.

Happy weekend to you all, hope your enjoying yourself whatever you get up too.

Yoga love

So today I thought I'd try and master my headstand without using the aid of the wall. I had seen a step by step guide post on tumblr and thought to myself "yes that is how it's done" so I got the mat out and surly enough I managed to do a headstand unaided :)

The feeling I got when I got into the first position and had my legs rested on my arms but was still balanced on my head felt great alone just doing that. Then I had to really focus and make my body do what my mind wanted it to do. After about two try's and falling down I got back up and on the third try, my legs went straight up and I held my balance for around 20seconds. I kept practicing for about 15mins and managed to do the headstand a number of times, each time holding it for longer.

It felt so amazing to be able to the yoga headstand and I'm just so taken back at what my body can do after just such a short time of practicing yoga. I just can't wait to see what other yoga poses I can do.

I'm totally in love with yoga and the feeling you get after. My body feels so strong and my mind is clear. It really relaxes me in every way.

Much health and happiness to you

Almost tafe time

So tomorrow night I have orientation for my tafe course for cert.3 in fitness.

Feeling very nervous about the whole thing. I'm excited to be doing something in my life but its been over 13yrs since I finished high school. So I have no idea what to expect with this course. Except I know life is about to get very busy.

I'll be working full time as well as doing tafe part time, it's 3hrs 3 nights a week. So for the most part I'm feeling guilty about doing this for me when I have two little boys that need their mummy time too. I already feel bad that I work full time and now to be taking on study as well the guilt of it all is starting to hit me and I haven't even started the course yet.

I'm very lucky and grateful to have AU h a supporting hubby who is 100% behind me. He knows this is what I really want to do and what we have to do to get it. I dream of a career change and this is the way to get it. To be able to help others with their fitness and health is going to be amazing and I hope to inspire others as so many amazing women have inspired me to do.

Also on another note, I found out I was one of the four lucky winners to win the jan planks challenge hosted by the fabulous Dani @fitnessfoodandstyle ❤💜❤ it was such a honour to win as there was so awesome plank photos shared on Instagram. Thank you again my beautiful friend for being such a inspiration to me.

Be back tomorrow to tell you how it all goes at orientation. So until then love health and happiness to you all.
